About

Dr. Brian Rhoads was raised in the southern Bible belt in the town of West Memphis, Arkansas located directly across from the Mississippi River neighboring Memphis, Tennessee. With the rebirth of the NBA and rise of the early 1980’s legends,  his love for basketball and other sports became deeply rooted within him. A dentist by trade, one can see the meticulous attention to fine detail that carries over into his distinctive style of art. With this unique style, he uses various acrylic mediums and textures incorporated with three dimensional sports equipment or birch wood panels as his canvas. Stirring up interest across the country, you will see a vast collection filled with purpose that appeals not only to the sports fan but to everyone.

Footprints of the Game

Footprints of the Game

Impact

The significance of impactful footprints is Priceless.

The size of a footprint is immeasurable when considering the importance of how it can shape and position the individual’s life following in those steps. Pointed in the wrong direction can lead one down a path of being lost. Interestingly, we are all capable of leaving a footprint without ever taking the first physical step. Footprints without feet, one could say. However, whether the footprint left behind is positive or negative is determined by the person who has taken the steps. You see footprints, can drive you forward, or they can drive you backwards. On one foot they can give a sense of accomplishment and willpower yet on the other, a sense of defeat and failure. Footprints never lie but can hide the truth. Yet as one takes a step, then another, a footprint will show the best of you, then suddenly can also show the worst. Remembering, it is not about our footprints being the same, It is just about respecting differences.

In an effort to capture historic moments in time through an expression of art, Footprints of the Game was created to spark thought and interest leading to one significant question for the viewer.   In a few words or sentences, if you could leave one final meaningful message or life changing footprint for others to follow, what would it be?

We believe in a more equitable tomorrow. Therefore, each piece in the Footprints of the Game Collection is individually and uniquely invested, sharing a portion of the proceeds with partnerships and community organizations to drive impactful  sustainable change.
