Dr. Brian Rhoads was raised in the southern Bible belt in the town of West Memphis, Arkansas located directly across from the Mississippi River neighboring Memphis, Tennessee. With the rebirth of the NBA and rise of the early 1980’s legends, his love for basketball and other sports became deeply rooted within him. A dentist by trade, one can see the meticulous attention to fine detail that carries over into his distinctive style of art. With this unique style, he uses various acrylic mediums and textures incorporated with three dimensional sports equipment or birch wood panels as his canvas.
